Amanda Joy-Petersen is an artist and art educator based in Cache Valley, Utah. She mainly works in Printmaking and creating “Prinstallations” that incorporate shadows and color.
Amanda is a MFA in Printmaking Candidate at Utah State University in Cache Valley, Utah. She earned her BFA in Art Education from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Amanda is on the Board for the Utah Art Education Association (UAEA) as the PLC Coordinator in Printmaking.
Amanda has worked for multiple years in community outreach for art, as well as using grants and fellowships to do Arts in the Park. After teaching Printmaking at Redwoods National Park, she would like to find more opportunities to bring art and nature together.
In her free time, Amanda loves to travel with her family across the United States, to camp at various National and State Parks. Her favorite place has been Point Reyes National Seashore, CA, and the Lower Falls, Yellowstone, WY. She loves to learn and explore with her three kids, her husband, and her mother.
